Several Arrested for Drugs
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports that on February 1st during a traffic stop Drug Task Force, Rainsville Police and Powell Police officers noticed a strong smell coming from the vehicle. After search of the vehicle agents found a bag that contained five one-pot meth labs, methamphetamine and materials for making meth. Albert Scott Comfort, 31 of Dutton, Tracey Lee Mars, 44 of Rainsville, and Steven Michael Allert, 30 of Scottsboro, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center were they remain awaiting bond.
Deputies and Fyffe Police officers went to a residence in Fyffe to serve a warrant on Misty Jackson, 42 of Fyffe. When deputies and officers arrived at the residence they were advised there was drugs in the house. Deputies, Officers and Drug Task Force searched the residence and found materials for making meth, marijuana, and a glass smoking pipe. Jackson was arrested for the warrant, charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Misty Dawn Stiefel, 38 of Fyffe was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center were they remain awaiting bond.
Sheriff Harris states “these deputies and officers are doing a great job on noticing these small details in their searches. These small details are makes these arrest possible.”
