3 Individual Arrested for Meth
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
On May 18th a report was made with Fyffe Police Department about some stolen property. When Fyffe Police and DeKalb County Deputies went to a residence on County Road 44 near Pleasant Hill to look for the stolen property they found the stolen property and a meth lab. As a result 3 individuals Jeremy Allen Whisenant, 30 of Fort Payne and George Franklin, 46 of Fort Payne were arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Controlled Substance 1st, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. Jacqueline Yolanda Smith, 36 of Fort Payne was also arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Controlled Substance 1st, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 2 counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. This is still an ongoing investigation pending further charges. Sheriff Harris says “thanks to concerned citizens that call in these tips, we were able to go to this residence and get these three individuals for a meth.”
