Tragic Accident

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

On September 5th around 6:55 am the DeKalb County E911 received a call about a vehicle falling on a male. DeKalb Ambulance Service was the first to arrive at the residence on County Road 112 in Sylvania area. When Deputies, Sylvania Fire Department and Police Department arrived at the scene DeKalb Ambulance Service told them that Sanchez Albino Huerta, 42 of Sylvania was unresponsive. It appeared that Huerta was outside working on the vehicle when the jack failed and the vehicle fell on him. Coroner Tom Wilson was called to the scene and pronounced Huerta dead.

            Sheriff Harris says “This is a tragic accident and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr. Huerta.”
