   Death Investigation

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

On Friday April 14th DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a call from 911 stating that a female had called in about a domestic violence situation on County Road 232 on Lookout Mountain. DeKalb County Deputies, Alabama State Troopers, and DeKalb County Investigators responded to the call. When Deputies, Troopers, and Investigators arrived at the residence they observed a male subject face down and unresponsive in the road way behind the residence, at which time the DeKalb County Ambulance Service was called to the scene. The male subject was identified as Alberto Pablo Felipe, 36 of Fort Payne. A short time after the Ambulance service arrived, Coroner Tom Wilson came and pronounced Felipe dead. The District Attorney Mike O’Dell was notified and he ordered an autopsy. Felipe’s body was transported by DeKalb County Coroner’s office to Department of Forensic Science in Huntsville for an autopsy.

Sheriff Harris says “Investigators a long with Deputies have worked all weekend and are continuing on following up on information today, as we wait for the results of the autopsy. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information can be given at this time.”
