                                                Bonds Revoked and New Charges Added

 

 

            On December 2nd Johnny DeWayne Croley, 41 of Crossville was arrested. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a tip of Croley having stolen property at his residence. When DeKalb County Deputies, Investigators, Drug Task Force and Albertville Police arrived at the residence, as a result of the search they found a truck that was stolen from Gadsden, a camper from Marshall County, a Harley Davidson motorcycle from Southside and methamphetamine at the residence. Croley’s bond was revoked for previous charges of stolen property and was charged with new charges of three counts of receiving stolen property 1st, unlawful possession of controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

            On December 5th James Edward Price, 42 of Rainsville was arrested. On several occasions Deputies went to Price’s residence to do a sex offender check, Price was not there on these occasions. A warrant was obtained for Price and on December 5th Price was arrested for sex offender registration notification act violation. Price’s bond was revoked for earlier charges of sex offender registration notification act violation and new charges of sex offender registration notification act violation.

            Sheriff Harris says “We will continue to make checks to make sure the sex offender is where they are supposed to be. They are required to register there address with Nina Haney the Deputy Clerk/Offender Compliance Specialist. Deputies will continue to work hard to ensure the safety of our children and all citizens of DeKalb County.”
