Man Arrested for Burglary

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports that on October 1st DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received several reports about a man that appeared to be intoxicated walking down County Road 370. Deputies found Thaddeus Keith Owens, 32 of Crossville, at Kilpatrick Fire Department under the influence of a substance and leaning against the building. Owen was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center. Investigators and Crossville Police Department gathered information and obtained evidence that implicated Owen as a suspect in several break-ins around the County Road 370 area. Owen was interviewed and charged with burglary 3rd. The property has been recovered and is to be returned to the owners.

Sheriff Harris states “thanks to the citizens that reported this we were able to break the case of a burglary. The investigators and Crossville Police Department also did a great job on this case.”
